Session Description

Topic: Tools, Levers & Pathways for Women-Led Business
Subtitle: Turning Data, Barriers and Opportunities into Real Growth

This keynote moves beyond data to deliver the 3 critical levers women entrepreneurs need to convert these advantages into revenue growth, capital access, and GDP impact: strategic tools to overcome capital barriers, network pathways for visibility, and actionable frameworks to scale their proven outperformance.

Dr. Georgette Zinaty reveals why women-led SMEs represent Canada’s greatest untapped opportunity: owning 17-19% of SMEs and 37% of self-employed individuals, they generate $150 billion in economic value, employ 1.5 million Canadians, and deliver 2.5x higher revenue returns per VC dollar (78¢ vs 31¢, Boston Consulting Group)—yet receive dramatically less funding despite superior innovation and export performance.

Key Takeaways:

  • Leverage the “Untapped Opportunity”: Articulate the specific economic advantages women-led SMEs hold to position their own businesses for growth.
  • Overcome Capital Barriers: Apply strategic “levers” to access funding and resources, bridging the gap between high performance and low investment.
  • Creating the Roadmap for Success: Implement an actionable framework to immediately amplify their business resilience and legacy contribution.

Perfect for:

This session is ideal for women entrepreneurs, business owners, founders, and leaders across industries—including those in STEM, tech, professional services, creative sectors, and community‑driven organizations—who are seeking strategic pathways to scale, access capital, expand visibility, and strengthen their impact within Canada’s evolving economic and supplier‑diversity landscape.
